Texas Tech business students and faculty celebrated their new state-of-the-art building Wednesday.
The building is nearly 150 thousand square feet, and was completed for about $6 million under the initial $70 million price tag. Located just west of Dan Law field, it is the anchor for the new north campus gateway, an entrance from the Marsha Sharp Freeway.
“This building has everything that a student needs in terms of getting education that’s required,” said Allen McInnes, Dean of Rawls College of Business. “They will get the opportunity to be in a facility where they can present themselves really well. It’s just going to be a great experience for them.”
Classes will begin tomorrow in the new facility. The old BA building is being renovated, and will house the College of Mass Communications.
